See Things For What They Can Be

I Make An Attempt

I am now at a time of transition

Making changes to achieve a goal

To return to form of what once was

Instead of the state of what is now

Discipline and desire will play a role

As I struggle through more obsticles

That await up ahead

I will persevere, of this I am sure

No waning, maybe a whine or two

But no giving up

This, not an option

I see light ahead, as sure as I see light

Positive this time, it’s not a firefly

For this light looms larger

As moments pass by and stuff

Keeps falling from the sky

I will move ahead and make an attempt

To bounce out of the darkness

Into the light up ahead

When my attempt brings success

I will be joyously filled with thanks

To the Almighty

For He has once again given me

Something I can bear
